Activities

During the implementation of the project between May 2019 and March 2020 partners conducted four transnational partner meetings and two conferences that served as multiplier and dissemination activities.


The first international working activity was realised in Turkey and hosted by the Karacabey District Directorate of National Education. The working groups of the partner organisations visited Karacabey between 6-10 May 2019.

The second international working activity was held in Hungary and hosted by the Institute for Cultural Relations policy in Budapest between 24-28 June 2019.

The final international working activity was held in Karacabey, Turkey between 2-6 March 2020.

Dissemination activities: Each partner of the project conducted project dissemination activities in their respective countries and introduced them to the teachers by organising numerous seminars in Turkey’s Bursa province, Germany’s North Rhein-Westphalien state and Hungary’s capital, Budapest.


Final conferences in Karacabey were aimed at sharing the project’s results and give insights about the activities and background of the project. On 5 March 2020 the project partners held two conferences with the cooperation of Ulviye Matlı Project Science High School.

Participants of the project were educational experts and practitioners, teachers and educators from Germany, Hungary and Turkey who were directly involved in the work of the project activities and in the project working groups. When selecting participants, the project coordinators set up the following criteria:

    • Having at least three years of professional experience;
    • To be actively providing education and training services to refugee students;
    • To be able to speak English language;
    • Not to have any problems to prevent them from participating in overseas projects;
    • In case of requirements met, ready for an interview.

The Guidelines were prepared by teacher and educators of each partner organisations. The project working groups continuously evaluated the work in their schools and institutions and reported those. These groups then came together to evaluate the work and revise the Guidelines, taking into account the possible shortcomings. In this way, the Guidelines were finalized in order to implement successful methods for the education process of refugee students.
